Getting Help from the Scholarship Team
Getting direct help from the Scholarship team can be done in two ways. The simplest way is to send an email to scholarship@meridianuniversity.edu. This will create a case in salesforce that is assigned to the scholarship team, who will reach out to you with a response. The second way to get help is to submit a request through the Services app.
You may also be able to find answers from the Library Services section of the Knowledge Base or the library website.

What is the Scholarship Team?
Scholarship Team
The Scholarship Team is available to students for all things library, research, and copyediting related, and provides guidance and answers to students’ library resource questions via email, video calls, and one-on-one meetings to support students with their research needs. They provide quality assurance of electronic library resources and annual renewals and produce the Journal of Transformative Learning. The Scholarship Team acts as a liaison between students and the Doctoral Project Committee and corroborates the writing and research standards as outlined in the Meridian University Dissertation and Clinical Case Study Handbooks. Scholarship Team conducts review of manuscripts (and various requests) for the Doctoral Project Committee, gets their advisements when necessary and for approval of final manuscript, and provides findings and final decisions to students on the Committee’s behalf.
Library and Research Advising
Library and Research Advising provides support around library resources and information management. At the following link, students can find a list of the various resources available to them at any time. Requests for support from library staff regarding research can be submitted to the Student Services Team through the Services app or by emailing scholarship@meridianuniversity.edu.
Scholarship Team can help you find resources, databases, articles, and assist with citations, content, format and style, and bindery approval processes. They also maintain and regularly update the library website with useful information, guides, and video tutorials.
Writing Coaching
Copyediting of doctoral project manuscripts at specific points in the doctoral project clock period, as well as coaching for general writing assignments is provided by the Scholarship Team. This takes place via one of three ways, as noted below:
One-to-One Support (Zoom, Phone, or In-Person)
When a student submits a request with a specific need for review and coaching of a particular writing assignment, the team will determine how to provide assistance.
Written Feedback and Comments on Your Writing
Written feedback is provided to students periodically from both the Scholarship Team and the Doctoral Project Committee. The Scholarship Team provides up to four hours of review for dissertations and clinical case studies when manuscripts are submitted for Content, Format and Style, and Bindery Approval steps. Manuscripts are reviewed for content, format, style, grammar, syntax, spelling, and adherence to Meridian’s detailed checklists. If a manuscript is found to be deficient in any of these areas, it is sent back to the student for review with detailed explanations of what needs to be addressed. It is possible for a manuscript to be returned several times for the same review step. Once the issues have been satisfactorily resolved, the manuscript is approved to move on to the next step.
Scholarship Team is always available to address any questions or concerns from students about given feedback. The following article provides more detail about this:
